The Star of David

The Star of David (David’s Shield) was always the symbol of Judaism, found in many Mosaic excavations.

It was the symbol painted on the Biblical King David’s shield.

The Star of David follows the Jewish nation for hundreds of centuries – no wonder it was chosen to be the main symbol of Israel and is proudly decorating the Israeli flag.

Many legends tell us about the protective power implanted in the Star of David, it is very clear, according the Kabala, that whoever keeps a Star of David near him is protected against many evil spirits.

The symbol itself is made of 2 triangles opposite each other. You can turn it either way – it stays the same. It reflects stability, strength, power and security.

The Star of David inspires the Israeli artists and they are fascinated of this symbol therefore they are using it in their works of art.

The Star of David is very popular as a necklace or a ring.

Limor Yaron, an artist from Tel Aviv, is combining the Star of David in her work.

For example: a napkin holder, Business card holder, a Tealight Candle Holder and many more.

The artist, Limor Yaron (1973), a product designer, lives and creates in Tel-Aviv, Israel.

Graduated with Honors at “HIT – Holon Institute of Technology”,
